Home Depot, Home Delivery

A few people sent in this photo, "80550" had this to say about it:

"The materials were loaded at Home Depot. Their store manager had the customer sign a waiver. Both back tires are trashed. The back shocks were driven up through the floorboard. In the back seat were 10 bags at 80 pounds each of concrete. On the roof are many 2X4s, 4X4s and sheets of plywood. They estimated the load weight at 3000 lbs. Amazing stupidity! Front and rear bumpers had Bush-Cheney bumper stickers."

obvious photoshop. Assuming the owner to said fabled vehicle just had bad taste and really had different size wheels on the front than the back (width), the point where the wheels touch the ground mean either the front tires are about a foot wider than the back, or whoever made this picture needs to work a little on perspective. As for "80550's" comments... ya, okay. That's about as likely as seeing bush & cheney in oversized jerseys and decked out in 'bling'.

Very old pic, very fake. The way the plywood on the very bottom of the pile is set on the car, with part of the back window obscured, we are to assume that the massive pile of plywood is smashing the car. But the back windows aren't broken. Look at the angle of the wood there - the tempered glass in those windows would have shattered.

jade commented on October 22, 2007

@SN - good catch. based on the article, one could assume they had some serious drug problems.

Wobble commented on October 23, 2007

SN: Let's be real, this photo is a complete fake. Btw, go blow yourself...

Sean Jordan commented on October 24, 2007

This isn't a photoshop - there are photos of this car from other angles that corroborate See www.swapmeetdave.com/Humor/Workshop/Overload.htm Also, verification can be found at snopes: www.snopes.com/photos/automobiles/lumber.asp

Ack, sorry for the repost. Blame my RSS feed-reader for not updating!

SN commented on October 29, 2007

no problem Sean, you have at least restored my faith in humanity. Wobble - so tell me, what's it like to realize at the last moment before passing out that you need to exhale? I bet you leave a lot of post it notes laying around to remind yourself to do so. You're obviously not bright enough to do so on your own. Thanks for wasting oxygen!!!!

SN commented on October 29, 2007

oh Quintem - no need to make this comment yellow either, i don't wish to take credit for the 30 seconds worth of research it took me to look on snopes to find an answer to your "does anyone know about this" inquirey that you tag all your stuff. you are obviously WAY to busy to figure this **** out on your own. Do you go by Wobble or j.l.c or that twit Q whose making millions in the chinese market as well?

Quintem commented on October 29, 2007

SN: I calls them as I see's them.

Captain Obvious commented on October 31, 2007

That is a heavy load. That car is not meant to carry such a heavy load.

Thomas C commented on April 14, 2008

I met the person who took these photos. He has more, at different angles. The story about these photos never changed when they came up in conversation, as they did about once a year. They are real, not fake. Thsi kind of proves truth is stranger than fiction
